AG throws weight behind Army chief

The Government and the Adjutant General (AG) branch of the Army are heading towards a confrontation as the AG is dragging its feet on the Defence Ministry order to reconcile Army chief General VK Singh’s date of birth as May 10, 1950.  Singh contends that his correct year of birth is 1951 and has sued the Government in the Supreme Court.
