Gehlot cites law & order to obey Fatwa

Trouble seem to be mounting for Congress after its state government in Rajasthan backed hardline Muslim sentiment against Salman Rushdie attending a literary festival in Jaipur, even as the event organisers confirmed his participation. "Rushdie will come as planned," said an official, asking not to be named. He is scheduled to attend the event on January 20.
