Congress to issue showcause notice to absentee MPs

Congress is set to issue showcause notices its dozen MPs, who were absent for the vote on Lokpal Bill, saying their presence would have made the certain defeat of the constitutional amendment Bill respectable. Congress managers are satisfied with the reasons given by some of these MPs, but the party may take a serious view for others. Parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Bansal said he would seek explanation from the members.
