After slumbering since November 1 over a dossier on the Bhagwatgita facing a ban in a kangaroo court in Russia, addressed to the PM’s Principal Secretary Pulok Chaterji, our Government is in damage-control mode. External affairs minister SM Krishna has risen in Parliament, ending up confessing what Government didn’t do for his namesake. Our  envoy to Moscow, Ajai Malhotra, has issued his first statement on the subject. From saying nothing for the last six weeks, Malhotra has included even the nice things that were said on the Gita at Iskcon’s Janamashtmi function!
