Why no powers to probe? Anna back on fast, jail bharo

Accusing the government of ignoring the voice of the people, Anna Hazare declared on Tuesday that he would go ahead with his planned fast and ‘jail bharo’ agitation from December 27. The fast will be in Mumbai, Hazare and his close aide Arvind Kejriwal told reporters in Ralegan Siddhi. Team Anna tore into the government for its “volte face” on the investigative wing of the Lokpal — a provision that was part of the draft prepared in August.
