Sonia supports, Chidambaram braves attack

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday sent clear signals that she was fully behind home minister P Chidambaram as he faced flak from the opposition over his alleged role in the 2G spectrum scam and in a case involving his former client. Gandhi's repeated thumping of desk each time Chidambaram replied to questions of members in the Lok Sabha when the BJP-led opposition tried to prevent him from speaking sent a clear indication that the party is fully behind him.
