BJP, CPM stand united at all-party meet

NEW DELHI: BJP and CPM put up a united front on Wednesday, reiterating their known positions on the Lokpal Bill at the all-party meeting where broad consensus could not be evolved.  There was a general consensus that the PM should be brought under the ambit of the Lokpal, but various proposals were put forward as 'safeguards' in terms of exclusion of subjects (like national security, foreign policy etc and procedure in terms of the entire bench of Lokpal should sit to examine charges against PM etc).
