‘Govt-judge nexus’ in SC lens over motive behind CBI probe

The Supreme Court asked the UPA Government on Thursday to explain whether there was any nexus between the judge and the Centre behind ordering a CBI probe into the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter killing on January 12, 2010. The move came pursuant to a blistering attack by former Gujarat Minister Amit Shah, who accused the ruling party at the Centre of hatching a “political conspiracy” in collusion with the SC judge who passed the order.
