Congress ties may help Ajit Singh get Cabinet berth

RLD chief Ajit Singh will be made Cabinet minister in the likely alliance with Congress, with the UPA 2 likely to tinker with the ministry even during the winter session of Parliament. The winter session that starts on Tuesday has shrunk the window for accommodating the Jat strongman in the Union council of ministers given the convention of not reshuffling the Cabinet when Parliament is in session.
