Amit Shah case: CBI’s false claims invite SC ire

The CBI’s attempt to nail Gujarat Government’s former Minister Amit Shah as “kingpin” of an extortion racket in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case was thoroughly exposed by the Supreme Court on Thursday. The court concluded that the allegation was an “unwarranted insinuation” on discovering that the supporting evidence presented by the agency was “absolute trash”.
