Land acquisition out of Govt’s 31-Bill priority list

The Government on Wednesday set an ambitious target for passage of two Bills every day during the 21-day sittings of Parliament in the Winter Session commencing on November 22. While 31 Bills, including the Lokpal Bill, have been listed for consideration and passage, 23 new Bills like the Food Security Bill are enlisted for introduction. The much-hyped Land Acquisition Bill, however, has not been included in the business to be taken up by the Government during the Winter Session.
