With eye on LS polls, Gadkari takes the fight to vidharbha

BJP president Nitin Gadkari may be giving conflicting signals about whether or not he is in the party's extended list of PM-hopefuls but he is certainly working hard to ensure that he is not looked upon as a johnny-come-lately if indeed things turn out favourably for the party in 2014. On Wednesday, he organized what was his third major show of strength in the past few weeks at Devada in Vidharbha, a region where his Purti group has successfully turned around three defunct sugar mills to help sugarcane farmers.
