UP: CM may not get House numbers for state division
The winter session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly, which will also be the last in Mayawati's current term as chief minister, is all set to witness a battle between the ruling BSP and the opposition over the resolution to divide the state into four parts. While Mayawati's gambit has pushed the rivals on the backfoot, it won't be easy for her to get House approval, particularly when there are MLAs sitting on the fence, ready to switch loyalties before 2012 elections.
