Nobody can work out actual 2G loss, auditor tells JPC

The lead auditor who disagreed with the CAG on the quantum of loss in the 2G scam today told the joint parliamentary committee that he was “ordered” to sign on the controversial report, and that the audit was begun without any guidelines on how to go about it. During cross-examination by Congress MP Manish Tewari at the JPC meeting today, R P Singh, former director-general, Audit (Post & Telecommunication) said that “nobody can work out the actual loss”, and an attempt to calculate presumptive loss would “at best” be “an educated guess or mathematical guess”.
