Let unified command decide on AFSPA: MoD

With the defence and home ministries continuing to pull in different directions over withdrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from two to four districts in J&K, defence minister A K Antony on Friday stressed it was up to the state unified command to take a call on the matter. "I am against a public debate on AFSPA...it's a sensitive issue. As far as MoD is concerned, we have already conveyed our views...last year, the cabinet committee on security took a decision to leave it to the unified command in Kashmir to take a decision,'' said Antony.
