Kejriwal pays up, asks govt not to harass loan-givers

Key Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday paid over Rs 9 lakh outstanding dues to settle the issue of his resignation from the Indian Revenue Services (IRS), saying he had done so in protest and wanted to know the crime committed by him. Kejriwal sent a cheque of Rs 9.27 lakh along with a four-page letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in which he appealed that his six colleagues from IIT-Kharagpur, who had provided him an interest-free loan to clear the dues, should not be targeted.
