2G info: Stung by note row, PMO blocks RTI pleas

The fallout of the political storm over the finance ministry's March 25th "2G background" note has become apparent, with the PMO invoking possible breach of privilege of Parliament and rules of Lok Sabha to deny further RTI requests. The PMO has taken the view that right to information applications on sensitive telecom matters can be denied on the ground that parliamentary panels are examining the files concerned.
