Manish Tewari abandoned by Congress after anti-Anna remark

Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari is the first casualty of a flawed political strategy. Tewari is currently being pilloried in the media as well as Parliament for his now infamous "Anna is corrupt from head to toe" spiel. He was singled out for criticism by the Leader of the Opposition, Sushma Swaraj, in the Lower House on Wednesday and the media has been gunning for him for what was arguably an intemperate attack on the veteran Gandhian.
