India all at sea over coast security

The Comptroller & Auditor General (CAG) has punched holes in India’s coastal security preparedness, which was, in fact, supposed to be shored up considerably post-Mumbai attacks. Pulling up the Government for not devising clear cut directions and guidelines for ensuring coastal security, it said post 26/11 response of the Coast Guard and Government was ad hoc.
