Can India be a breakout nation?
In my day job as an investor I wander the world, kicking the tires of emerging economies to see how fast they can go, but I've been a writer for as long as I have been an investor because I see my job as more art than science. I find many of the popular theories about why emerging nations grow amusingly academic and overconfident, for example in their attempt to forecast decades into the future by looking decades into the past.
