India, US agree to revive official trade engagement in June or July
India and the US have agreed to revive their official bilateral trade engagement in June or July to sort out differences over a range of issues, Indian commerce secretary Rajeev Kher said on Thursday. The US on Wednesday deferred a decision to autumn (September-November) this year on whether to further downgrade India for its alleged violations of intellectual property rights (IPR), signalling Washington’s willingness to engage with the new government after the April-May election.
