'US aims at taking India ties to new heights'

Despite recent diplomatic hiccups and unresolved trade irritants, the Obama administration is hopeful of taking its relationship with India to “new heights” after a new Government takes office in New Delhi later this month. “We look forward to the outcome of this election. We look forward to engagement with the new Government that will take this (relationship) to new heights,” US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Nisha Desai Biswal told a Congressional hearing.
