Telecom needs more spectrum

Anne Bouverot, who heads the global association of companies who use the GSM standard to run mobile operations, says that Indian companies need more spectrum than they currently have. She is correct. Today, Indian telecom players have to make do with a total of 200megahertz (MHz) of bandwidth, spread over widely differing ranges.
