BJP questions UPA's silence over fake encounters

With CBI’s supplementary chargesheet in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case being a matter of intense speculation, Opposition BJP questioned the UPA’s silence over nearly 555 cases of alleged fake encounters between 2009 and 2013. The Opposition party quoted a report by the NHRC, which says Uttar Pradesh tops such cases with 138 fake encounters, followed by the Congress ruled-States like Manipur (62) and Assam (52) and Delhi (14) Gujarat is only 17th on the list with 8 cases of alleged fake encounters.
