Villages lose their men, India its ancient texts

The destruction of nearly 2,000 roads and the poor organisation by the state government have blighted rescue and rehabilitation efforts in Uttarakhand. The state government has failed to get complete information on the villages that have been cut off in the horrific flash floods and landslides and need help.
