Mitt Romney's tax returns

The great recession has slaughtered incumbents in many western countries. Since 2009, governments in 12 countries of the EU, including Britain, Italy, Greece, France, Denmark, Spain, Ireland and Portugal, have been voted out of office. While elections in each case had a distinct national flavour, perceived failure of governments to lessen the severity of the recession was, without exaggeration, the primary cause of their fall.
