The govt can ask Gen VK Singh to go, but it can’t change his age

Can somebody’s age be changed by the use of executive power? The UPA government obviously thinks so. A week ago, in what can only be seen as a desperate action to cover itself with a fig-leaf before the Army Chief’s age issue comes up in the Supreme Court, the government asked the Adjutant General’s branch in the army to change the general’s age in the records to 10 May 1950.
