Beaten at its own game

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh appeared distraught in the television clip from Azamgarh the other day when he found out that words that he had uttered two years ago had led to Mr Rahul Gandhi’s effigy being burnt in the latter’s presence. Reports say that Mr Gandhi had to seek cover in a college hostel after the Muslim youth he had sought to placate had turned against him. “Only the girl students were allowed to meet Mr Gandhi”, the reports underlined.
