Ramdev gives a clean chit to Modi on corruption issues -
Ahmedabad, Jul 29 - Yoga guru Baba Ramdev today gave a clean chit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on corruption issues saying, "he has not done anything wrong". "Everybody is asking me about corruption in Gujarat, but I couldn't find anything of this sort. Modi is not doing anything wrong," Ramdev said at an awards function, where he shared the dais with Modi.

Lucknow, July 28 - The Samajwadi Party today distanced itself from Shahid Siddiqui, saying he is no longer a part of the party two days after his interview with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi made waves. "The party wants to clarify that Siddiqui had left SP long back and joined BSP on whose ticket he contested Lok Sabha election from Bijnor," party's national general secretary and spokesman Ram Gopal Yadav said in a statement issued here.

Ahmedabad, June 29 - A special court here is likely to pronounce its judgement tomorrow in Naroda Patiya communal riots case where 97 Muslims were slaughtered by a mob led among others by a former minister in the Narendra Modi government. Additional Principal Judge Jyotsna Yagnik had completed the hearing last month and reserved the judgement for tomorrow.

Ahmedabad, Jun 29 - Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was protecting his cabinet colleagues by not allowing prosecution against them, Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal said here today. In reply to a question as to whether he considered Modi to be corrupt, Kejriwal said: "I don't have evidence which shows that Modi is corrupt, but at least Modi is protecting his cabinet colleagues, by not granting sanction for prosecution of his Ministers against whom allegations were made, and also by not appointing Lokayukta for nine years.
