New Delhi, Aug 3 - Taking the political plunge, Team Anna today moved towards forming a party to fight the 2014 Lok Sabha polls but Anna Hazare made it clear that he will not launch a party or contest elections. Ending their ten-day fast at Jantar Mantar, the team declared that "people" will decide on their candidates and fund their elections. "We will have to throw this government out. It is a long fight. This is not a party. It will be a movement from the streets to Parliament.

Anna Hazare, others to call off fast on Friday -
New Delhi, Aug 2 - Team Anna today blinked in the battle of attrition with the Government by announcing plans to end the indefinite fast tomorrow evening as it pitched for an alternative to the current political system. Anna Hazare's announcement on calling off the agitation demanding Lokpal Bill at 5 PM tomorrow came on a day when a group of eminent personalities, including jurist V R Krishna Iyer and former Army Chief Gen V K Singh, appealed for an end to the fast as the health of Arvind Kejriwal and two others deteriorated.

New Delhi, Aug 1 - With government showing no inclination for talks to end their stir, a worried Team Anna today held discussions among themselves on the way ahead even as the health of fasting Arvind Kejriwal and Gopal Rai worsened. The team held two rounds of talks at the protest site of Jantar Mantar, where Anna Hazare's fast entered the fourth day and that of Kejriwal, Rai and Manish Sisodia entered the eighth day.

New Delhi, Jul 31 - In tough posturing, Anna Hazare today ruled out any talks with the government or even the Prime Minister to end their stir and expressed readiness to return Padma Bhushan award bestowed on him, even as government showed no signs of initiating negotiations with his team. The statement from Hazare came on a day when his close aides Arvind Kejriwal and Gopal Rai, whose fast entered the seventh day, were advised hospitalisation by doctors but they rejected it saying they were "not cowards who will give up because of health concerns".

New Delhi, Jul 31 - Anna Hazare's indefinite fast entered the third day today with the activist regretting the attack on media by his supporters and warned that he will call off his fast if they again indulge in violence. Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal, who is also fasting, apologised for the misbehaviour with media but sought to blame media house owners, saying they have to decide whether they are with the country or with corrupt people. Before Hazare and his close aides took the dais, some supporters shouted slogans against the media.
