Rupee up 32 paise Vs dollar in early trade

Mumbai, Aug 9 - The rupee today appreciated by 32 paise to 55.10 against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange, as the American unit weakened against euro overseas.

Forex dealers said dollar selling by exporters and a higher opening in the equity market also supported the rupee. The rupee had lost 35 paise to close at 55.42 against the US dollar yesterday.

Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark index Sensex recovered by 98.96 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 17,699.52 in early trade today. PTI
