Congress to act against MP siding Jaganmohan

Tags :   Jaganmohan Reddy

Hyderabad, May 25 - Rather belatedly, the Congress party is getting ready to crack the whip on Ankapalle MP Sabbam Hari for openly siding with YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Besides, the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee is ready to take disciplinary against Eluru MLA Alla Nani, who met Jagan here this morning and later accompanied the Kadapa MP to Dilkusha Guest House where the latter was being interrogated by the CBI. Hari has been sailing with Jagan for a long time now but the Congress did not dare to take action against him.

Nani initially was on Jagan's side but later stayed "loyal" to the Congress. To the ruling party's shock, Nani landed in Jagan's Lotus Pond residence here this morning before the MP proceeded to the guest house to appear before the CBI. In fact, the MLA went to the guest house along with Hari as Jagan too reached there for questioning by CBI.

When questioned about Hari and Nani, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana told reporters that the party would take disciplinary action against them. "We will act against any party leader who sides with Jagan," Botsa asserted.

Nani's episode clearly indicated that some more Congress Legislators were waiting for the occasion to jump on to Jagan's bandwagon. PTI
