Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday slammed the Congress party over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and said that party had “rewarded” its leaders who were allegedly associated with the riots by giving them plum posts like that of a chief minister. In a tweet on Thursday evening, Modi also attacked the Congress for trying to “stop” people from singing Vande Mataram.
