Amulya Patnaik, a 1985-batch IPS officer, will have one of the longest tenures as Delhi Police chief. He is set to retire in January 2020. He has been serving as the Special Commissioner of Police (Vigilance and administration) in Delhi Police and will take charge from outgoing commissioner Alok Verma on Tuesday morning.
