Lucknow, Jun 15 - Supporting Pranab Mukherjees's candidature for the post of President, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today described him as an experienced, honest, intelligent and a capable person".

"Pranabda is experienced, honest, intelligent and a capable person. We support him", Yadav told reporters here.

Asked whether SP would join UPA government if Trinamool Congress quits the alliance, Yadav said "it's an absurd question".

"Who has invited us (to join UPA)", Yadav said.

About three Presidential candidates--Manmohan Singh, A P J Abdul Kalam and Somnath Chatterjee declared by SP and Trinamool a couple of days ago, Yadav said this question has no meaning now. PTI
