Shimla, Aug 7 - Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said he would contest the upcoming Assembly elections from Hamirpur Sadar seat.
The constituency is presently represented by BJP MLA Urmilla Thakur.
Dhumal had won the 1998, 2003 and 2007 Assembly elections from Bamsan constituency which had been scrapped in delimitation and its area had been included in newly created Sujanpur constituency and adjoining constituencies of Bhoranj and Hamirpur.
The Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh are likely to be held by the end of this year. PTI
