Halflong, June 23 - Four Dimasa tribal millitants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam's hill district of Dimahasao today, official sources said.

Four militants belonging to the Dimasa National Revolutionary Front (DNRF) were killed in an encounter at Mailoo village, 15 kms from Langting, following a joint operation launched by the army and police, the sources said.

Three AK-47 rifles with live ammunition was recovered from the slain ultras, official sources said.

In another operation, the police captured one NSCN(IN) millitant from a nearby area. PTI
