Guwahati, May 18 - ULFA pro-talk faction today launched an 'Assam Navnirman Kendra' to promote agriculture and related activities in Assam's Nalbari district with the help of army and the state government.

The state government has provided 100 bighas of land at Banbagh Salmari which will have nine fish ponds, piggery, poultry farm, duck farm and Banana plantations.

The entire project was based on following the Natural Biological cycle as a part of organic farming, official sources said here today.

The army's Red Horn Division has supported the project by providing bulldozers and other equipments for creating ponds and would also assist them by constructing piggery and providing 22 piglets of Hampshire breed.

The army was providing the assistance in its effort to promote self sustained income generation projects for surrendered cadres.

ULFA leader Sashadhar Choudhary expressed gratitude for providing valuable support in establishing of 'Assam Navnirman Kendra' at short notice.
